Irish Mocha with Mozart Chocolate Liqueur

Irish Mocha with Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur

Irish Coffee is such a classic cocktail for cold weather. I’ve been a believer ever since I tried Dead Rabbit’s recipe (1.5 oz. Irish whiskey, ½ oz. Demerara syrup, and 4 oz. coffee topped with lightly whipped cream). Yes, it is perfect in its simplicity. And yes, I’m going to riff on it anyway. Because while the classic Irish Coffee contains two of my favorite things (coffee and whiskey), it’s missing a big one: chocolate.

But fear not – Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur to the rescue! This decadent chocolate liqueur is delicious when added to just about any coffee drink, and the Irish Coffee is no exception. If your go-to Starbucks order is a Caffè Mocha, drop everything and make this immediately!

Irish Mocha with Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur

Irish Mocha

1 oz. Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur
1 oz. Irish whiskey
Hot brewed coffee
Lightly whipped cream*

Combine Mozart Chocolate Cream Liqueur and Irish Whiskey in a mug. Add brewed coffee, stopping about a half inch from the rim of the mug, and top with whipped cream.

*For lightly whipped cream: combine 1 cup whipping cream or heavy cream with 1 tbsp. simple syrup in a bowl. Whip by hand or with an electric mixer until the cream is slightly thickened and the tracks left by your whisk or beater stick around for a few seconds.
